Liebster Award Nomination 2017
I would like to give a huge thanks to Lindsey from The lamp and the lamb blog for nominating me for the Liebster Award 2017. Lindsey’s blog is new and small like mine, she loves her job just as I love mine, and we both hope to grow and learn on our paths as we blog further. It is an honor to be nominated, but also kind of intimidating. As a rookie blogger, you take a huge step out of your comfort zone the first time you push that “publish” button. But I grab this opportunity with both hands and embrace this new experience.
What is Liebster award? Liebster in German means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome. The award itself exists only on the internet and is given to bloggers by other bloggers. It has first appeared in 2011 and as I said above I am super proud to be nominated. The award gives small blogs an opportunity to promote themselves.
My journey as a blogger has been short but I have already “met” so many amazing people. My absolute favorite is Sarah from Behind the quest – her desire to show her audience another side of travel is fascinating and I have a great deal of respect for her work. She is an amazing photographer too and she visualizes her stories in a very engaging way. I respect and admire her honesty, both when it comes to her stories but also on her honest description of the backside/dark side of social media. How our hunger for likes and comments is making us play a dirty game that corporate world “forces” us to. Sarah’s journey to where she is at now and her projects has been unique and fascinating. I love her engagement for women in third world countries, her integrity and obvious wish to make the world a better place.
Now let me tell you a few facts about myself:
I was born in Kiev, Ukraine (former USSR) and have lived in Israel for 3 years in my younger days.
I met my husband while I lived in Israel. He is a Norwegian and I moved to Norway 20 years ago.
I have two teenagers and a beautiful Maine Coon.
I love traveling obviously and would love to visit as many countries as possible.
For the past three years, I have been studying MBA with a specialism in HRM while having a full-time job. I am now done and am super happy about it.
I love writing and photography and all photos on my blog are my own.
I love to watch soccer.
I love spring the most, but am fascinated by all seasons.
I prefer mountains and big cities over beaches.
My favorite destination so far is Venice, Italy.
I would also like to nominate:
Tracy from Ask tee travel
Michelle from Maps and muses
Michael from Mscgerber

Luciana from Twenty four
