Travel blog about hopping around Europe
First of all, a huge THANK YOU for stopping by this travel blog; I appreciate it!
Travel blog Travelletters is mostly about traveling in Europe, a little bit about me, and slightly more about the rest of the world. I would love to help you make the most out of your travels by providing you with practical hows and wheres, history, and fun facts about places. Hopefully, I can inspire you with my posts and photos to travel more. Here, you will find trips mostly on a mid-range budget, with a little bit of luxury once in a while. Whether you want to visit Oslo, explore Venice, or go hiking like a Norwegian I got you covered.
I am a Norwegian girl married with two teenagers and a cat. I love to travel – near and far. I mostly travel with my husband and the teens, but occasionally, I go on press trips. This means that I travel with a group of known or unknown people where local tourism offices showcase the best of the destination.
Based in Norway, just outside of Oslo, I go on most of my trips to Europe. However, I travel overseas a few times a year. Cities are my preferred destinations, but I would travel anywhere from the mountains to the beaches and small villages. The people, culture, food, and history appeal to me, and this is also the focus of my posts.
Travelletters is all about how to make the most out of your precious vacation time. If you travel in Europe and spend a few days at each destination, this blog is exactly what you need.
About me – the travel blogger
My name is Lena, and I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. I moved to Norway after I met my hubby, or so-called my better half. I have always loved to travel and have always been curious about other cultures, history, and languages. I like to write and take pictures and always bring my camera – sometimes a huge annoyance to my family. I love dark chocolate, wine, food, and yoga, and road trips are probably my preferred way of traveling.
The teens are 18 and 21 yo. Sometimes, we drag them along on the trips. We also have a cat – a huge Maine Coon boy called Simba. He usually comes along whenever we go to the mountains, but otherwise, he stays at home and protects the house (he is one crazy cat, so no one messes with him).
Despite the crazy year of 2020, when I lost my job due to the virus and couldn’t travel abroad, I focused on exploring my beautiful country. This means you are in for a treat for future resources when visiting Norway.
If you have any questions, please contact me via the Work with Me page. I am looking forward to hearing from you and seing you around the world 🙂
The 30 countries and three continents we have visited will show you that you can see a lot during your vacation.
Hope to see you around, and happy reading!
